1. Pace of Play!

 

Always keep the group ahead of you in view.  If you can't see them when you get on a tee-box you're behind!  Speed up. Marshalls will be tracking your progress.   If they ask you to catch up, catch up.

 

2.   PUTTING  

 

No putts will be conceded, but must be claimed by using your putter.  Either you or your partner can claim by hooking your putter head in the cup and measuring.  If no part of the ball is covered by the grip, pick up. If you begin to putt, finish.

 

3.   MAXIMUM SCORE  -  Net Double Bogey

 

If you get a stroke on the hole your maximum score will be a triple bogey. You don't need to putt out if your score is already more than a Net Double Bogey.  Pick up!  Golf Genius will auto-correct to net double bogey.  You cannot increase your handicap by posting a higher score.

 

3.   LOST BALL or Out of Bounds  

 

Spend no more than three minutes looking.  Remember rule one, Pace of Play.  If you lose a ball, drop another ball near where you think your ball was lost or where it went out of bounds. ONE STROKE PENALTY.

 

Do not go back and hit a ball from where you hit the lost ball.   This takes too much time.

 

4.  ROCK RULE 

 

Do NOT hit your ball where you would hit a rock or tree root (play safe!).  You can move the ball  by taking a free drop no closer to the hole. Moving the ball more than this or back to the edge of the fairway is a ONE STROKE PENALTY.  

 

5.   WINTER RULES 

 

We are playing Winter Rules all the time.  You may bump the ball (only use your club head, not by hand) anywhere, except in a HAZARD.   You may bump the ball up to one foot from it's original position. 

 

If you bump the ball you can NOT bump it into a different area.  From heavy ruff to short ruff or from short ruff to the fairway

 

There is NO moving the ball in a Hazard.  Drop it outside the hazard and it is a ONE Stroke Penalty.   .  

 

 

6.  SAND TRAPS   

 

Sometimes sand traps are not in very good shape because they have NOT been raked or maintained properly.  If so, you may pick up the ball and drop it in the Sand Trap without penalty.  

 

If there a heavy rain and your ball is sitting in water in the trap you may drop the ball outside the trap, no closer to the hole, with no penalty.  

 

Be courteous,  rake the trap when you leave.

 

7.  NO MULLIGANS EVER
